Lifestyle India Fashion Week
India's biggest fashion trade event, Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WIFW) Spring/Summer 2009 is scheduled to be held at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi from October 15 to October 19, 2008. A total of 87 designers will be participating in this mega event.
The new season will bring with it new color shades, designs, creations, clothing construction et al. Once again, the best of India's Fashion Industry will come together on a common platform. All the designers are geared up with new zeal to put forward their best show, all prepared to enthrall the audience with their Spring/Summer 2009 collection. They are all ready to impress the fashionistas and consumers not only from within the country but from overseas as well.
In its 12th year, WLIFW aims at providing a platform for new talents to showcase their potential. Since over a decade, WIFW has acted as a medium for the fashion designers in India to display their virtue and earn for themselves a name that people would reckon with.

New Delhi, Sept 29, 2008: To support the emerging fashion design industry of India, Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week today announced the names of 18 designers participating for the very first time at WIFW. Like every season FDCI gives an opportunity to aspiring as well as eminent designers to experience India's only 'Business of Fashion' event the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week, Spring/Summer 2009.
This list includes some of the well-known names like AG2 by Adarsh Gill and Sanchita Ajjampur from the Indian fashion industry who have showcased their collections in India and overseas. The forthcoming WIFW will also showcase collections of the Accessory designers Art Apparel and Accessories by Shelina & Camelia and Priyanka Murarka Jool Kurry for the first time.
WIFW will provide high level business mentoring to the up-and-coming designers. Support will be given by an established team of fashion industry experts and professionals in areas such as business planning, marketing, sourcing, production, export and legal. By giving such in-depth advice where it is most required, the aim is to help the designers consolidate their businesses, growing them internationally to the next level.
